Anna Doering is an experienced non-profit professional with 25 years of diverse fundraising (paid and volunteer) experience working with non-profit organizations that range from an all-volunteer grassroots organization to an international membership organization to a higher education institution. Highly responsive to the varying needs of her clients, she offers a professional perspective informed by experiences as staff, executive, board member and consultant. Anna provides clients the guidance, tools, and creative collaboration they deserve to build, maintain and grow mission-minded and results-oriented fundraising programs.
Anna’s comprehensive experience helps organization’s address immediate financial needs, realize strategic priorities and advance long-term sustainability. She can work from the ground up with organizations that are new to fundraising or offer the essential tweak to an existing program that will take it to the next level. Her passion is infrastructure development and helping organizations understand that no matter their personnel limitations, they can have success if they honestly assess the strengths and weakness of their programs, address those deficiencies as soon as possible and plan for success. Anna’s abilities in assisting non-profit leaders in maximizing staff, Board and program productivity and augmenting capacity for fundraising through the effective recruitment, training, management and stewardship of Board members and volunteers are among her unique strengths.
Building on Experience
Anna’s experience as staff, volunteer and consultant ranges from small-to-large non-profits with representation in nearly all aspects of the non-profit sector. She began her career with the leading women’s funding federation in the country: Women’s Way (Philadelphia) and, prior to founding AD Consulting, she was the Vice President for Development and Alumnae/I Affairs at Chatham University. A veteran leader with bottom line responsibility and accountability for fundraising programs ranging from $750,000 to more than $10 Million annually, Anna led the successful completion of two major campaigns totaling $50 million. She brings an in-depth and practical view of operations and resource management derived from hands-on experience at all levels of a comprehensive fundraising program.
