Stronger Teams
A variety of options exist for improving team cohesion, collaboration and effectiveness. Each team development engagement begins with a discussion of objectives and expectations. From a 2 hour workshop to understand the different communication styles on the team using the DiSC Workplace Profile, to a more complex engagement involving assessment of team health and cohesiveness, Leslie's work with teams results in improved understanding, communication, and effectiveness.

Action Learning and Group Coaching:
Action Learning, sometimes known as Peer or Group Coaching, is a leadership development practice that focuses on real-time issues where participants reflect, learn, and support each other in taking action. It is especially effective as a follow up to training or team building. Action Learning/Peer Coaching sessions enable a small group of people to build trusted, peer-mentoring relationships while learning a new skill or competency. Group Coaching has the added advantage of being more affordable than one-on-one coaching.
The Peer or Group Coaching Process: In the action learning process, a small group (usually 6 to 8 people) gets together to meet on a regular basis (e.g. every month). An experienced coach or facilitator helps the group to master the process and build their learning and coaching competence and in some cases provides subject matter expertise. During group sessions, participants get "air time" to present a dilemma or challenge, and then receives coaching from the rest of the group.
Peer coaching may involve an intact team, or a group of people from different parts of the organizations (i.e. a young professionals group or a cross functional group of managers), or people from different organizations (a group of women executives, or nonprofit leaders who want to learn how to better deal with Board issues).
